ATR and Air Antilles Express announce MoU for 2 ATR 42-500sToulouse, 21 June 2007
On the occasion of the Paris Air Show, ATR and Pointe-à-Pitre-based Air Antilles Express signed today a MoU for the purchase of 2 new ATR 42-500s. The total value of the contract is US $ 30 million. Stéphane Mayer, who succeeded Filippo Bagnato as ATR CEO on 1st June, and Christian Marchand, Air Antilles Express CEO inked the deal at Le Bourget. The –500 series: New Generation aircraftWith its ATR 42-500 and ATR 72-500, ATR supplies state-of-the-art aircraft with jet-like comfort. The advanced six-blade propeller provides remarkably low noise levels. Low fuel burn and gaseous emissions contribute to make the ATR environment friendly. All ATR models are compliant with noise regulations and have a large margin with regard to Chapter IV (ICAO) noise regulations, effective 1st January 2006.
