Ulrike Steinhorst joins the EADS Group as the chief of staff of EADS CEO Louis Gallois. Since 2003, Mrs. Steinhorst had been heading the French subsidiaries of the German chemical company Degussa, and since 2006, she had also been in charge of Degussa’s corporate representation’s office in Brussels. Ulrike Steinhorst joined Degussa in Germany in 1999, where she was successively Head of Human Resources of a division, and then VP Executive Development.
Ulrike Steinhorst, 55 years old, is a German lawyer and former student of the international cycle at the ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration). Graduate of the CPA, she has a Master’s degree in public law from the University of Paris II – Panthéon. She started her career in France as an advisor to the French Minister for European Affairs, where she was in charge of relations with Germany during the reunification. She joined EDF in 1990, first in the International Division, and then became advisor to the President and Director General for international, then institutional issues. In 1997, she was appointed to EDF’s Power Generation Division, where she was more particularly in charge of international subsidiaries.
